Official Peerage recruiting policies:
Should you desire to join The Peerage, your first step will be to fill out the questionnaire below; copy the text to a new document, then evemail the answers - along with the original questions and your UserID/API key – to a Peerage director or CEO. Your responses will be placed on the forum for review for up to a week. Assuming your answers are accepted, you will be contacted by a Peerage director or CEO for a voice-comms interview prior to final acceptance into the corporation.
1. What is the name of the character that is joining The Peerage?
2. Do you have any alts? If so, please list them. (NOTE: If you wish for your alts to remain secret to the corp at large, you may mail them seperately to a Peerage CEO or director. Please be aware that they may still be shown to the directorate and/or recruitment officers.)
3. How many SP do you have?
4. What areas of skill have you focused in, i.e., navigation, gunnery, E-WAR, etc…
5. Are there any areas you wish to expand into? Ships you would like to fly?
6. Why have you chosen to join The Peerage?
7. Are there any in The Peerage who would vouch for you?
8. Why did you leave your previous corp?
9. Being in Faction Warfare means that you are heavily involved in PvP; there is no inherently “safe” place, even in friendly high-security space. Do you understand this?
10. What class of ships or hull do you enjoy flying the most?
11. While we do support temporary ship loan programs, we expect our members to be capable of purchasing and outfitting their own ships. How will you support yourself while in The Peerage?
12. What timezone are you from? What time periods of the day do you usually play in?
13. Both The Peerage and the Amarr Militia utilize several VOIP programs (Ventrilo, TS3, etc) to coordinate our actions; EVE voice is not a reliable substitute. Do you have a microphone and are willing to install these programs?
14. Are you over 18 years old?
THE QUESTIONS BELOW ARE ONLY APPLICABLE TO ROLE-PLAYING APPLICANTS.
15. What are your characters’ motivations for joining the Amarr Militia, and specifically The Peerage?
16. Has your character performed any actions or been involved in any events that we should be aware of to assist in making our decision?
17. While we do not require characters to RP in any specific way, we do ask that that you be familiar with the universe and in particular the background of the Amarr Empire. Do you feel that you are comfortable with the background material? (Note: An answer of “no” will not count against you, but merely tell us that you may need further explanation and guidance, which we will be happy to provide.)
Final notes:
- We may request your User ID and limited API key as part of the acceptance process.
- The Peerage does not encourage outright and blatant piracy. However, we recognize the need to “go GCC” on non-war targets hostiles and occasionally even neutrals. Nonetheless, members are asked to maintain their security status above -2.0.
- While we do not require members to roleplay, we do ask that all members not make statements which conflict with The Peerage’s roleplay goals and values, or those of the Amarr Empire.
Other potential questions that could be asked:
- Provide a fit for [insert given class of ship, i.e., short range BC/nano-cruiser/etc, here] and explain it.
- You undock from a station and find a war-target sitting on the undock of that station. You think you can take him alone, but there is another war target in local who might help him. What do you do?
- Roleplaying: Explain your characters’ position on the following issues (insert any mix of “hot-button” and less confrontational issues here).
